Bronco try-out dates + free rep preparation clinics

As we near the end of both the domestic and representative (rep) seasons, the try-outs for the Bronco rep teams for next season are also rapidly approaching. Click on the image below for a printable PDF version of the dates.

Try out dates U20 try-outs will be advertised closer to the commencement of their grading phase

BBA is offering free Representative Preparation Skills Clinics for domestic players born between 2001-2006, who are not currently playing MUVJBL (rep) basketball.

Sessions will be conducted on Mondays from 4-5 pm at Broadmeadows Basketball Stadium. Players can register for the FREE sessions by emailing bba.programs@bigpond.com the following details:

  • Name
  • Date of birth
  • Current domestic team (eg U14 Boys SU2)

Big V Youth Grand Final this Sunday

It’s Big V finals time and Broadmeadows’ two women’s teams are on track for more success.

The championship women face Ringwood this Saturday night at 6:30pm at Broadmeadows in a qualifying final, with the winner going straight through to the grand final. This is a rematch of both the 2013 and 2014 grand finals.

Q FinalThen on Sunday, the Broadmeadows’ youth league women play in the grand final at Broadmeadows at 1pm vs Warrandyte. The majority of Broadmeadows’ youth league women are home grown from the domestic clubs.

Invitation to BBA Big V Domestic Day

As has been stated on a number of occasions, the domestic clubs are the lifeline of any basketball association and our representative successes are largely due to the strength of the underpinning domestic competitions made up from these clubs.

As a way to say thank-you for everyone’s continued support, the Broadmeadows Basketball Association has invited all members of Greenvale Grizzlies domestic basketball club to attend this Sundays (July 19th) Big V Championship double header with both teams playing Sherbrooke (Women tip off 1pm, Men at 3pm).

All players, coaches & team managers wearing Greenvale club apparel will be admitted for free.

With both teams qualified for finals seats will fill up quickly, so please arrive early to ensure a seat.

Register now for Term 3 of Aussie Hoops

The Aussie Hoops program is an initiative aimed at introducing children aged between 5-10 years to the fundamental skills of basketball while having fun. It is sponsored and managed by Basketball Australia, Victoria and Broadmeadows Basketball Association.

The coaches are highly experienced and qualified and from past experiences the children have a lot of fun while they are learning.

Parents can simply register easily on line by inserting the Broadmeadows postcode when prompted.
