Our Annual General Meeting for the Greenvale Basketball Club is being held:
on Thursday 3rd August 2017
from 7:30 – 8:30 pm
at the Greenvale Recreation Centre, Barrymore Road Greenvale.
The committee is seeking mandatory attendance from every team. We recommend as an absolute minimum the team manager and coach, plus as many parents/guardians that can make themselves available. Remember this is your club!
As well as the usual formalities of reports and committee elections for next year, we will be discussing:
Grading of teams & players
Uniforms & merchandise
Club support & sponsorship
Presentation Day 2017-18
Please follow the links to the meeting papers in preparation for the AGM:
Our Committee have been working hard to bring you a special deal … we have been invited to watch the Melbourne United game vs the Adelaide 36ers on Sunday 6 December at Hisense Arena (3pm tip off).
Not only are there special seating deals outlined below, but we will also receive:
Foam hands and clappers for our kids
Pre-game entertainment includes – jumping castle, outdoor hoops, shooting arcade games, face painting and more!
There are two seating options:
Option 1: We have been allocated silver reserved seating in bay 33, dedicated to members of our club only. By using the code promo code MUGV16 will give us 20% off silver reserved ticket prices and will allow us to buy our tickets individually but be automatically allocated into this active section, so we will all be seated together! Booking tickets is simple.
Option 2: There is a cheaper option to sit in general admission seats but you need to get to the game early to secure the best available seats, as the tickets are for un-numbered seats. Again booking is simple.
As we near the end of both the domestic and representative (rep) seasons, the try-outs for the Bronco rep teams for next season are also rapidly approaching. Click on the image below for a printable PDF version of the dates.
U20 try-outs will be advertised closer to the commencement of their grading phase
BBA is offering free Representative Preparation Skills Clinics for domestic players born between 2001-2006, who are not currently playing MUVJBL (rep) basketball.

It’s Big V finals time and Broadmeadows’ two women’s teams are on track for more success.
The championship women face Ringwood this Saturday night at 6:30pm at Broadmeadows in a qualifying final, with the winner going straight through to the grand final. This is a rematch of both the 2013 and 2014 grand finals.
Then on Sunday, the Broadmeadows’ youth league women play in the grand final at Broadmeadows at 1pm vs Warrandyte. The majority of Broadmeadows’ youth league women are home grown from the domestic clubs.
Click on the images above for PDF versions of the details.
Both games will be action packed and great basketball to watch, so make sure you get involved in what will be a great weekend of Big V basketball at Broadmeadows.

A limited number of these General Admission tickets will be made available to the Basketball Victoria Community who register first. Once the ticket allocation is exhausted or the pre-registration window has closed, remaining fans will enter a ballot for the remaining General Admission tickets.
It’s that time of year again, time for the Greenvale Basketball Club’s annual general meeting. As a club we have had another successful year, both on and off the court. We have introduced a number of new players, teams and parents to the game of basketball and we now have almost 50 teams that participate each week representing our club. That equates to approximately 400 children playing domestic basketball for Greenvale. Of course this doesn’t happen without the support of volunteers and in particular those that give up some of their time to be a part of our committee.
Over the past 5 years we have had the same group of people step forward and run our committee ensuring that all of our kids get onto the court each week. And although that same core group have done a fantastic job, it’s time to prepare for the future.
We are seeking individuals that care enough for the future of our fantastic club at Greenvale, to step forward, put your hand up and join the committee. It’s an exciting time to join… We have a brand new court just about to commence construction and have an opportunity to tap into one of the largest growth corridors in northern metropolitan Melbourne, all to get more kids on the court participating in the best game in the world.
On the evening of the AGM, we will also be holding a special general meeting to discuss and seek endorsement to transition our operating model to model rules that apply to all incorporated associations. This is expected to take no more than 15 minutes and will be scheduled to run before the AGM.
I look forward to seeing you all there on the night!
