Greenvale Grizzlies – we’re going to the basketball (NBL, that is)!

Our Committee have been working hard to bring you a special deal … we have been invited to watch the Melbourne United game vs the Adelaide 36ers on Sunday 6 December at Hisense Arena (3pm tip off).

Not only are there special seating deals outlined below, but we will also receive:

  • Foam hands and clappers for our kids
  • Pre-game entertainment includes – jumping castle, outdoor hoops, shooting arcade games, face painting and more!

There are two seating options:

Option 1: We have been allocated silver reserved seating in bay 33, dedicated to members of our club only. By using the code promo code MUGV16 will give us 20% off silver reserved ticket prices and will allow us to buy our tickets individually but be automatically allocated into this active section, so we will all be seated together! Booking tickets is simple.

Simply click on the following link http://premier.ticketek.com.au/shows/Show.aspx?sh=UNITED0916 and enter the promo code MUGV16.

Option 2: There is a cheaper option to sit in general admission seats but you need to get to the game early to secure the best available seats, as the tickets are for un-numbered seats. Again booking is simple.

To book using the 20% discount off general admission tickets, enter promo code CTIMU530 when booking your tickets via http://premier.ticketek.com.au/shows/Show.aspx?sh=UNITED0916

There are limited seats in our reserved section, so make sure you book fast to avoid missing out on this exciting opportunity!

Our new mission statement

Our Club’s committee has been working on a number of things, including the introduction of our new mission statement reflecting the values we feel are important, as well as our code of conduct.

We strive for excellence in basketball and as a meaningful community organisation, improving the future for our local youth. We value our people and motivate them to have fun, develop and respect themselves and others.

Annual General Meeting and election of our new club committee

Two weeks ago on Monday 24 August 2015, we held our Annual General Meeting.

The President acknowledged the long and dedicated service to club from two outgoing committee members – Lance Corby and Robert Malcolm, both of whom have contributed to the club in varied ways over many many years – thanks guys!

Our new committee was elected, then we heard updates on:

  • the upcoming new court construction at the Greenvale Rec Centre,
  • a ‘pilot’ coaches development program being developed in-house, and
  • new club branded hoodies (grey are for the club officials so you can see us when you need us on game day – black are for club members and supporters), which you can purchase through your team manager.

Please read the minutes and attachments or contact any of the new committee members for further information.
