Our Committee have been working hard to bring you a special deal … we have been invited to watch the Melbourne United game vs the Adelaide 36ers on Sunday 6 December at Hisense Arena (3pm tip off).
Not only are there special seating deals outlined below, but we will also receive:
Foam hands and clappers for our kids
Pre-game entertainment includes – jumping castle, outdoor hoops, shooting arcade games, face painting and more!
There are two seating options:
Option 1: We have been allocated silver reserved seating in bay 33, dedicated to members of our club only. By using the code promo code MUGV16 will give us 20% off silver reserved ticket prices and will allow us to buy our tickets individually but be automatically allocated into this active section, so we will all be seated together! Booking tickets is simple.
Option 2: There is a cheaper option to sit in general admission seats but you need to get to the game early to secure the best available seats, as the tickets are for un-numbered seats. Again booking is simple.
Our Club’s committee has been working on a number of things, including the introduction of our new mission statement reflecting the values we feel are important, as well as our code of conduct.
We strive for excellence in basketball and as a meaningful community organisation, improving the future for our local youth. We value our people and motivate them to have fun, develop and respect themselves and others.
Two weeks ago on Monday 24 August 2015, we held our Annual General Meeting.
The President acknowledged the long and dedicated service to club from two outgoing committee members – Lance Corby and Robert Malcolm, both of whom have contributed to the club in varied ways over many many years – thanks guys!
It’s that time of year again, time for the Greenvale Basketball Club’s annual general meeting. As a club we have had another successful year, both on and off the court. We have introduced a number of new players, teams and parents to the game of basketball and we now have almost 50 teams that participate each week representing our club. That equates to approximately 400 children playing domestic basketball for Greenvale. Of course this doesn’t happen without the support of volunteers and in particular those that give up some of their time to be a part of our committee.
Over the past 5 years we have had the same group of people step forward and run our committee ensuring that all of our kids get onto the court each week. And although that same core group have done a fantastic job, it’s time to prepare for the future.
We are seeking individuals that care enough for the future of our fantastic club at Greenvale, to step forward, put your hand up and join the committee. It’s an exciting time to join… We have a brand new court just about to commence construction and have an opportunity to tap into one of the largest growth corridors in northern metropolitan Melbourne, all to get more kids on the court participating in the best game in the world.
On the evening of the AGM, we will also be holding a special general meeting to discuss and seek endorsement to transition our operating model to model rules that apply to all incorporated associations. This is expected to take no more than 15 minutes and will be scheduled to run before the AGM.
I look forward to seeing you all there on the night!

Each year we hold an annual general meeting of the club, where we reflect with our members on the success and achievements of the club from the preceding year. It is also an opportunity to look forward to the year ahead and with some significant changes happening within the Broadmeadows Basketball Association and how it engages with us, this upcoming 2013‐14 year should be an exciting one, full of potential for innovation and change.
In looking forward to the year ahead, we will also conduct a refresh of the committee, so are seeking nominations for people to become involved in the club.
This is an invitation to you, as a member of the Greenvale Basketball Club, to attend our Annual General Meeting for 2012‐13.
